The TST Photon M is a specialty electroplated diamond multi-cutter designed specifically for marble, travertine, limestone, and other delicate soft stones. Built for fabricators and installers who need more than a standard cutting blade, the Photon M can cut, grind, sand, shape, and undercut using a single tool.

The continuous diamond rim provides a smooth cutting action that is especially well suited for marble and other stones where edge chipping can quickly become a problem. Instead of the aggressive segmented design commonly used for harder granite and quartzite, the Photon M uses an electroplated continuous rim to create a finer, more controlled cut.

Diamond is also applied across both sides of the blade body, allowing the face of the Photon M to be used for grinding, shaping, sanding, and edge cleanup. This makes it extremely useful during fabrication and installation work where a cut may need to be adjusted, widened, shaped, or cleaned up without changing to a separate grinding wheel.

A built-in quad adaptor hub converts the blade to a 5/8"-11 thread and keeps a traditional grinder lock nut from interfering with the work surface. This allows the Photon M to get into areas that are difficult to reach with a conventional blade setup, including flush cutting and undercutting applications.

Available in 4.5", 5", and 6" diameters, the Photon M can be used wet or dry and is rated for a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM.

The included quad adaptor provides a 5/8"-11 threaded connection for common angle grinders while eliminating a protruding traditional lock nut from the working side of the blade.

Flush Cutting & Undercutting

Because the hub keeps the attachment hardware out of the way, the Photon M can work closer to surfaces and edges than a traditional grinder blade setup. This is particularly useful for undercuts, field adjustments, and detailed installation work.

Wet or Dry Cutting

The Photon M can be operated wet or dry, giving fabricators and installers flexibility between shop fabrication and field work. When practical, wet operation can help control dust and heat during extended cutting or grinding.

Why Use a Photon M Instead of a Standard Marble Blade?

A standard diamond blade is primarily designed to make a cut. The Photon M is designed around the way fabricators and installers actually work with marble.

After making the cut, you can use the diamond-coated face to remove a little more material, straighten an area, shape an edge, open a cutout, or smooth the surface without immediately changing to another tool.

That versatility becomes especially useful during installations, sink and cooktop adjustments, wall-to-wall fits, and detailed fabrication where small corrections are often required after the initial cut.

Getting the Best Performance from the Photon M

Let the continuous diamond rim cut at a controlled pace rather than forcing the grinder through the material. Marble and other soft stones can be fragile along the finished edge, so maintaining control is generally more important than simply pushing for maximum cutting speed.

When using the face of the blade for grinding or shaping, keep the tool moving across the surface rather than holding it in one location. Controlled movement helps remove material evenly and reduces the chance of creating a low spot.

The Photon M can be used wet or dry. When water is practical, wet cutting can help reduce dust and control heat. When working dry, use appropriate dust collection and respiratory protection.

Do not exceed the manufacturer's maximum blade speed of 10,000 RPM, and always verify that the grinder, guard, and blade diameter are compatible before use.
