Diamax 14" to 18" Cyclone S w/Reinforced Silent Core
Product Description
Diamax Cyclone S Reinforced Silent Core Bridge Saw Blade
The Diamax Cyclone S Reinforced Silent Core is a high-production bridge saw blade designed for fast, clean cutting of granite, engineered quartz, quartzite, and marble. Built for fabrication shops that need one blade to handle multiple stone materials, the Cyclone S combines an aggressive diamond segment with a reinforced silent core for strong straight-cut performance and improved stability during miter cuts.
The reinforced core is one of the main features that separates the Cyclone S from a standard bridge saw blade. It is engineered to resist flexing and help the blade maintain tension when cutting on a miter, improving cut stability and edge quality on demanding fabrication work.
Diamax re-engineered the segment and bond to provide faster feed rates while maintaining a clean finished edge. The Cyclone S performs especially well on granite and engineered quartz, where it can run at high production speeds, while still giving shops strong quartzite capability without requiring a blade change every time the material changes.
The silent-core construction also helps reduce cutting noise in the shop while maintaining the rigidity needed for accurate bridge saw work. Available in 14", 16", and 18" sizes, the Cyclone S is a versatile option for production environments where granite, quartz, and quartzite regularly move across the same saw.
Key Features
Reinforced Silent Core
The reinforced center core helps minimize blade flex and maintain tension during straight and miter cuts. This added rigidity helps produce cleaner, more controlled edges while reducing operating noise.
High-Speed Granite & Quartz Cutting
The Cyclone S is built for production cutting and performs especially well on granite and engineered quartz, where Diamax recommends significantly higher feed rates than on harder quartzite materials.
Strong Quartzite Capability
Unlike many general-purpose granite blades, the Cyclone S is also designed to handle quartzite. This makes it a strong choice for shops that want one blade to cover a wide range of common countertop materials.
Excellent Miter Performance
The reinforced core helps the blade remain stable during angled cuts, making the Cyclone S particularly useful for shops that regularly produce mitered edges and waterfall applications.
Re-Engineered Diamond Segment
The updated segment design is built to cut faster while maintaining a clean edge and consistent performance throughout the life of the blade.
Multi-Material Versatility
Designed for granite, engineered quartz, quartzite, and marble, the Cyclone S reduces the need for frequent blade changes in mixed-material fabrication shops.
Wet Cutting Only
The Cyclone S is designed for wet cutting. Proper water flow is essential for cooling the blade, clearing slurry from the cut, and maintaining segment life and cutting performance.

Actual feed rates should be adjusted based on material hardness, thickness, saw horsepower, water flow, blade condition, and whether the cut is straight or mitered.
Getting the Best Performance from the Cyclone S
Match the blade speed and feed rate to the material being cut. Granite and engineered quartz can generally be run much faster than quartzite, so avoid using one feed rate for every slab.
Use plenty of clean water on both sides of the blade to keep the segments cool and remove slurry from the cutting path. Proper water delivery is especially important during high-speed production and miter cutting.
If the blade begins to slow down or glaze after switching between materials, dress the blade before continuing. Keeping the bond open will help maintain cutting speed and edge quality.
For shops cutting porcelain, Dekton, or other ultra-compact materials, use a dedicated blade such as the Diamax Cyclone Ultra or Super Cyclone Porcelain rather than the Cyclone S.
