The Diamax Cyclone Low Horsepower Silent Core Blade is designed specifically for portable track saws, rail saws, and lower-horsepower stone cutting machines. Unlike conventional production bridge saw blades that depend on a powerful spindle to keep the segment cutting, the Cyclone Low HP uses a specially formulated soft bond that exposes fresh diamond easily and allows smaller saws to cut hard granite, engineered quartz, and quartzite more efficiently.

Diamax developed this blade specifically around machines such as the Achilli TSA, Blue Ripper rail saw systems, and other portable track saw devices. It is also an excellent option for smaller bridge saws where motor horsepower is limited and a standard high-production blade may place too much load on the machine.

The soft bond is particularly important when cutting difficult material with a portable saw. Because the segment releases and exposes diamond more easily, the blade can continue cutting freely without requiring the motor to force a harder bond through the stone. Why a Low-Horsepower Blade Matters

A high-production bridge saw blade is normally designed around a machine with substantial spindle horsepower. Put the same blade on a small portable saw and the motor may struggle to maintain RPM as the blade enters hard stone.

When spindle speed drops, cutting slows, motor load increases, and the operator may be tempted to force the saw through the material. This can increase blade deflection, reduce cut quality, and place unnecessary stress on the machine.

The Cyclone Low HP addresses this by using a softer bond that exposes fresh diamond with less cutting pressure. The blade can remain aggressive without requiring a high-powered spindle to continually open the segment.

This is especially valuable when using a portable track saw to cut dense granite or quartzite, where a conventional blade can quickly overwhelm a smaller motor.

Getting the Best Performance from the Cyclone Low HP

Let the blade and the saw determine the feed rate. Portable track saws do not have the horsepower of a full-size production bridge saw, so pushing the blade faster than the motor can maintain RPM will usually reduce cut quality rather than increase production.

If you hear the motor begin to labor or notice the spindle slowing under load, reduce the feed rate and let the soft bond continue exposing fresh diamond.

Use plenty of clean water on both sides of the blade. Good water delivery keeps the segment cool, clears slurry from the cutting path, and helps reduce the amount of power required to move the blade through the material.

Quartzite varies dramatically in hardness. Start conservatively and increase the feed rate only when the saw is maintaining RPM and the blade is producing a clean, straight edge.

Make sure the portable rail or track system is securely mounted and properly aligned before beginning long slab cuts. A stable rail setup is just as important as blade selection when trying to produce a straight finished edge.
